JENGA Bricks is an empowering program designed by AFiUK (African Families in the UK), with support from the Community Fund, to support young people in building their futures. Inspired by the Swahili word “Jenga,” which means “To Build,” this program emphasizes the importance of each participant as a critical “brick” in creating a strong, cohesive, and multi-cultural community.
The journey begins with a comprehensive Initial Assessment to understand each participant’s unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations. This assessment lays the foundation for a personalized plan that will guide their development throughout the program.
Participants will work with mentors to record their personal, academic, and career goals. The Individual Plan also includes a roadmap for attending specific workshops and referral activities that align with their interests and objectives.
JENGA Bricks is more than just a program; it’s a community-building initiative that recognizes the potential in every young person. By providing personalized support and resources, we aim to equip each participant with the skills and confidence needed to become a vital “brick” in our diverse and thriving community.
Whether you’re looking to advance your education, kickstart your career, or simply discover your potential, JENGA Bricks is here to help you every step of the way.
