Founded by the incredible Joyce McIntyre, this group has quickly become a lifeline for mothers dealing with domestic violence, isolation, and mental health issues. Modelled after African community-based networks, it offers a safe environment for open discussion and mutual support within a community setting.
The success of this group and the observable improvements in the mental health of the women involved are truly encouraging and demonstrate that safe spaces are vital for our community.
We are eagerly waiting to see if we have won in September! We congratulate all the amazing groups that have been nominated—this is a fantastic achievement for Essex!
